THRIFT BOOK CHALLENGE: Because it takes you and me to put together a celebrity!

Thrift Book is out here to throw a challenge to you vintage loving fashionistas/tos out there! We've decided to post up a look that we absolutely love, and we're thinking- it probably takes an collective effort from all you collectors/sellers/DIY enthusiasts out there to put together this look.
So, if you happen to have any similar looking pieces mentioned in your stash/stock that you're wanting to sell; just drop us an email and we would be more than glad to help you advertise your piece(s) here!

Here's this week's challenge: Zooey Deschanel (featured in Entertainment Weekly.com)

1) Navy Blue Pea Coat with red trims and metallic gold/brass buttons
2) Vintage pattern dress/skirt (we're not too sure ourselves cuz thats all we see from the picture)
3) Black leggings
4) Black/Umber leather boots
Complete the look with your pesky little brother/adventurous dad's hunting rifle; but don't try to sell off your grandad! (albeit, he's in the picture)

Hello!

Welcome to our little book.

Put together especially for thrifters who not only have a sharp sense of fashion, but also a keen sense of making the most of the money in your purse ;-) Thrifting is a lot of fun-- you'll find one-of-a-kind items, vintage wears that nobody makes anymore, and preloved clothings that you can refashion and reconstruct into your own unique piece. Our favourite fashionistas are big fans of thrifting, and we can see why they love it.

If you're new to thrifting, this is a good place to start! We'll be sharing ideas from our favourite refashionistas, and of course, blogs where you can thrift online at.

If you're new to refashioning and reconstructing, basically it's about altering a piece of garment or cutting off the sleeves or sewing big bow onto a collar to make that piece unique. Turn a t-shirt into a tube top, a boyfriend shirt into a dress, or make your own exposed zipper skirt!

If you've refashioned items before, do drop us an email too, as we'd love to share your ideas and inspire others.
